I totally fangirl over Shingai Shoniwa. She's aboslutely gorgeous and she plays the bass and double bass. My heart, it is weak against the double bass.

I really like this music video too. The cuts match up so well, editting at it's finest. There's another music video of this song but it kind of made me go like wtf. I guess portions of the other video were used in a commercial for the Mazda 2. I'm unsure though, seeing as how I've never seen the commercial but I do know that the song is featured in it. ~~I guess I'll embed the other video.~~

The only down side would be that it's all fucking day long. It would be nice had they split it into two days. Although, if they did that then they wouldn't get that much of a profit on their concessions. Ugh, just thinking about move theatre food is making me sick. So gross. The only thing that's safe is the popcorn and pretzels.

Maybe I can somehow convice my mom to go. It's a good deal as long as you see at least three movies.

Please to be ignoring the fact that it's a few hours late ...

I spent for~evv~eer on this ~~because I'm retarded~~ because I put so much love into it. It would be meaningless if I didn't spend as much time as I did! The part that took the longest was the ears, the single heart I copy-pasta'd for the background, and the writing. Picking color combinations also took up a bit of my time. Since it was so hard picking colors I have another version and I also have a puple faceless Mokona without the heart background.

This time when I wasdrawing I used a tutorial I found. Well, I didn't really find it because I wasn't looking for one, it was more like stumbled upon, but I knew it would come in handy. I kinda of like the sketchy look that my pictures had before but I think this method is a bit quicked for me. Before I would always have to keep on drawing over and over and erasing the big blob of scribbles to get the shape I want. Now, I can have a big blob of scribbles but I don't have to erase anything because I just make a line over it!

Today I found out that FUNimation has Jyu Oh Sei up on their free video player.
I have no clue how long how long it's been up for but I feel a bit stupid since I just found out about it now.

At first I kind of thought it was complete bullshit that it's out for free. I bought the episodes for download-to-own so I felt like I got ripped-off. Then I thought about it and I felt like a jerk. I shouldn't be getting pissed off about it because I'm still planning to buy the DVD. When you really like something you do what you can to support it. I may not have the DVD of Jyu Oh Sei but I did make somewhat of a contribution by buying the episodes to download.

Now, I'm happy that it's up on FUNi's site for free because I can share it with others. This is one of my favorite anime series. I don't really know why I like it so much. I think one of the main things that draws me to Jyu Oh Sei is that it's short. You don't have lots of unnecessary crap and it gets straight down to the point. Although, the last couple of episodes seem a bit rushed and they pack in a lot of information in a short time. It's fun though, being a bit confused and not having a clear idea of what the hell is going on because that's how the characters feel. I really love it when shows are able to make an audience care about characters. It's even better when you can feel some of the emotions that the characters can feel, I think this is what really defines a good series/movie/book/whatever.

Jyu Oh Sei isn't perfect though. There were was an episode or two that was really wtf. Like how the main character fell in love with girl he had just met. The rest of the show made up for all that bull shit though. I also have to admit that the first episode is a bit boring, until you get to the last part of the episode. I really didn't get into this series until episode 3.

I want everyone to try and watch at least the first two episodes. If you don't like it I want you to tell me why. I want real reasons as to why you didn't like it! None of this, "It seemed boring so I didn't like it." I thought it was boring too, until after episode 3. If you don't really like sci-fi, you should still give it a try! I don't care much for sci-fi either, or settings in space, but I didn't mind it at all in Jyu Oh Sei. Please give it a try!

Truthfully, I thought this single was going to suck. After seeing that video clip of the music video I thought, "Oh gawd, what the hell did I just make Rithy get me for one of my birthday/christmas/birthday/christams? I want to exchange it for something else!" Chocolat did NOT rock my boat when I first heard it in the video. The prettiness of the video did redem the song though, because it made me watch that video over and over. I guess what also helped the song was a whole weekend of listening to Caramelldansen and Schnuffle Bunny. Those two songs, mostly Caramelldansen, put me in the mood for happy-happy-electropop. For me, Chocolat was one of those songs that has to grow on you; now I'm obsessed with the song.

Pourriture noble was my favorite song before the CD arrived. For me, this song was the highlight of the single and I thought it was going to be the only good song -- this was when I was in my hating Chocolat phase. Now, I don't like it so much, it just seems waaaaay out of place. There's too much contrast between Chocolat and Pourriture noble. ~~I think it would have sounded less out of place if it was placed after Chocolat (Sweet Version).~~ Confirmed, Pourriture noble sounds MUCH better when placed after the sweet version. Why didn't they release it like this?! ;o; Having it after Chocolat (Sweet Version) gives you time to get off the happy-high from Chocolat. The Sweet Version is much more calm and the few seconds of silence in the beginning of Pourriture noble helps to break the contrast from Chocolat and it leads to a smoother transition. From now on I'm listening to the CD like this! It's MUCH MUCH MUCH more enjoyable. I like both songs equally now!

I absolutely hated Chocolat (Sweet Version). Why? The singing, enough said. Breathy I'm-singing-waaaay-out-of-my-range-but-I'm-trying-so-hard-to-sound-cute-but-I'm-failing vocals are soooo not ftw, in fact, they're DO NOT WANT! I'm a fan of the music though! I really love the music of the Sweet Version but the bad vocals beat down music. If you noticed, I said that I hated this version, PAST TENSE! Hearing it over and over has helped me to tune out the vocals and I can say that I like this song now. Truthfully, the vocals grew on me; I hate them less but I still think they're bad. If they made a Kayaless version of this I'd be all over it.

Chocolat (Kayaless Version), LIES! It's not really Kayaless, it's a karaoke track. Unless ... that's not Kaya's voice that's being masked, but I doubt that. I like the regular version more just because of the, "Meeeelt my heeeeaaaaart." It's still fun to listen to though! Yeeeaaaaah, I don't have much to say about this song ... I guess that's a good thing?

OHH EMM GEE

This is the most horrifying/funniest/prettiest thing that I have ever seen.
I was like this =D the whole time that I was watching it -- during the whole time the second time through.
I was like this D= for about half of the video the first time I had watched it. My brain just could NOT comprehend the music, the dress, and the dancing all at once; it was an audio and visual rapping of my mind.

After I had gotten over the initial shock I started laughing. I just thought the video was ridiculously hilarious. It's not often that you see a person dressed in Rococo fashion dancing to electropop while doing some cheesy-mediocre choreography *. Let's not forget about his two lovely dancers that add their own flamboyance to the same choreography, they added more laughs.

Kaya, you have just made my day.
I think that whenever I'm having a bad day, I'll just watch this video. XD

HOSHIT SECOND SEASON OF xxxHOLiC   ---   TWO YEARS LATER

That first episode fucking pwn'd!
I'm super excited about the second season and for seeing more of Larg! Animated Larg is major win and there hasn't been enough of Mokona in Holic lately.

The art was sooooo pretty and it was like 10 times better than the first season. I wasn't very fond of the first season's art. However, seeing crappy art in season one could have also been attributed to shitty YouTube. Whatever the case is I think season two is going to be MUCH better than season one.

There's just so much to look forward to this season! MAOR PIPEFOX AND LARG
One thing I'm not looking forward to is the Sakura and Syaoran crossover; I don't want to get my hopes up ... I just don't think it's going to happen at all because of copyright shit and how all TRC references were cut from the first season. Oh well, I basically just want to see the whole spider shit and Kohane animated.
Kohane is one of my favorite characters from Holic. At least I think she's my favorite my character ... There's a high probability that I just have sympathy for her but I suppose receiving any feeling from me is a form of favoritism? o.O

Watanuki in a dress, wuuuuut? Since Doumeki has already donned female attire Watanuki had to as well? I was a bit surprised that Watanuki wasn't freaking out or bitching all over the place. The only thing he asked was, "Why do I have to be Alice?" and he didn't sound a bit angry when he asked. If anything he just sounded a tad annoyed.

My favorite part of episode one was Maru and Moro playing tic-tac-toe on the back of a sleeping Mokona. Oh! There was also the part where Mokona jacked a bowel of rice out of Watanuki's hand. The ending theme was also a favorite; to be specific, just the images were a fav of mine. The many colors and patterns of Mokona reminded me of the Mokona Doodler episode from TRC season 2 and it also reminded me of the pink elephants on parade segment from Dumbo ... That's something that I would have preferred to not be reminded. That part of the movie would freak me out when I was younger and it STILL freaks me out to even think about it.

Great ... once again my childhood memories have tarnished something wonderful *sigh* -__-
I think I'll take a trip down some stairs, literally, so that I may forget the creepy images burned into my mind. THANKS A LOT DISNEY! >O

Maybe I'll add some screencaps in about a month or two ... Yeah, that's a bit off from now but I'm lazy and I still haven't finished capping the second OVA of TRC and I haven't even watched the third OVA yet. Yes, I'm a bit pathetic.

I really do love all the covers of Tokyo Babylon. Each cover being a different color makes me happy. They bring a bit of life to the dark corner of my ghetto bookshelf, and I use the term 'bookshelf' loosely. These 'bookshelves' that I have are really just some brightly colored crosshatch metal cubes that you often find in children's room for storage.

You know the ones that I'm talking about! Each side of the little cube is a different color and they don't give you enough sides of one single color. Their cockblocking regulation of how many sides you get make it impossible to make one cube of just one single color. Those dicks force you to combine two or more colors in order to make one fucking cube.

The color limit isn't the only downside to those gay fucking cubes. They're very fucking hard to put together. Sure, the box says you don't need any tools, bold face lie. You need a hammer, or some other type of tool that is used to pound shit with. ~~The Bible~~ A nice solid hardcover book that has some weight to it is a nice alternative to using tools and will easily get the job done.

Okay, so like on the 1st of the this month I saw BLOOD. It was like the best concert I ever went to; eventhough it was technically a gig because the performance was at a club and the room probably only had the capacity of a maximum of 200 people. Anyway, one of the the opening bands was The Last Dance and they were FUCKING AWESOME. They pwned the shit out of that night and I thought they were actually better than BLOOD. Since The Last Dance was fucking awesome I ended buying two CDs. Now, I'll leave the details at that because I may blog about something that happened like a month ago at a later time and this really wasn't the reason for this post.

Alix and I shared the CDs I bought and and we just traded the CDs on Friday night and I now have Once Beautiful. The song Wish Me Closer from this CD totally reminds me of Seishirou and Subaru's fucking up relationship. Everything in the song is like woah, the music and the lyrics, it suits them. The song starts off with a middle eastern sound to it, BABYLON. Then it goes into dance/industrial and that's kind of kinky and sexy, and Seishirou/Subaru is kind of kinky and sexy with their fucked up relationship.

Onto the big news!

I'm going to get my hair cut tomorrow! YES CUT! Like really cut! Usually when I get my hair cut I just get it trimmed. Since my hair is SOOOO DAMN LONG a trim is just 2 in - 5 in (5.08 cm - 12.7 cm) of my hair being cut off and it doesn't make much of a difference.

I don't know how much of my hair is being cut off or what type of cut I'll be getting. Since I'm going to Vidal Sassoon I'll just let the person cutting my hair do whatever they want to it. As much as I love the length of my hair it really pisses me off. The only thing I like about hair is that it's LOOOOOOONG but I really hate the type of hair I have. Maybe after I get my hair cut I'll go get a straight perm ...

I also wanted to dye my hair but I don't know what color to dye it. In the end I don't think I'll be getting my hair dyed because my mom was telling me that once you get your hair dyed you have to keep getting it dyed and blahblah ... I just wanted some streaks of some unnatural color or just get the tips dyed but I don't really think it would suit me lol so yeah ... I could just use that temporary dye color mousse by L'Oreal XP
